Vermilion River Description

The Vermilion River is tributary to Lake Erie in western Ohio and winds through urban areas, rural landscapes, valleys, and gorges. The " V" gets excellent returns of spring run Manistee strain steelhead starting in late November. Thanks to the management efforts of the Ohio Division of Wildlife the Vermilion River has become a solid spring steelhead fishery.

Vermilion River Fishing Report

Orvis endorsed guide Greg Senyo of Steelhead Alley Outfitters writes a weekly Vermilion River fishing report that is very good. Greg is very honest and if the fishing is not good he says so. As with all the Orvis fishing reports, Greg provides a nice summary of the flies and fly fishing gear you'll need.
