Hi Christopher - great question! I haven't come across anyone dying their own mono, although I know it can be done. Jan Siman sells a variety of fluorescent colored mono strike indicators for Czech or French style nymphing that practically glow in the dark. They appeared to have been dyed. You can find them on his website under Fishing Czech Nymph/Indicators on the left-hand navigation bar.

I'll poke around and see if I can find a recipe for dying your own (I'd like to try it myself).

Hello everyone. I had Googled French Nymphing and was fortunate enough to find this wonderful site full of great information. The point of me Googling it to start with was that I wanted to find out how to dye monofilament to get fluro colours for using as a strike indicator within the Fench Leader system. I haev found bright yellow and pink line bit need to learn how to dye a section 'fluro orange' and 'fluro green'. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to the best dye and how the process is best done?
Many thanks.
