Little Juniata River (Rothrock State Forest)

Little Juniata River access in the gorge section of the 624-acre Rothrock State Forest. Here the Little Juniata River snakes it way through a 1.6-mile-long gap it has carved through Tussey Mountain. Tussey Mountain rises 1,500 feet above the river on each side here, the scenery rivaling anything that the Keystone State has to offer. Little Juniata River Access at Spruce Creek A great access point at the confluence of the Little Juniata River and Spruce Creek. Parking is available in the church parking lot. Please be considerate and park as far away from the church as possible and on Sundays consider finding another place to park. Private property is posted (no trespassing) on both sides downstream below the mouth of Spruce Creek and it is vigorously defended by a private fishing club.
