With the Salmonfly hatch in full swing on many of our western US rivers I thought I'd pay homage to the great winged beasts with this week's Friday Night Fly Tying Video. In case you have not had the chance to fish this great hatch I've also included a little footage of the salmonfly hatch on the Yakima River.

You might have noticed the Salmonfly is big! This makes them fun to tie and even more to fish because salmonflies often attract big fish! We'll start off with a pretty realistic looking salmonfly nymph and next week take a look at some giant dry fly patterns.
